February’s Birthday Flower ‘Plum’

It seems that the origin of ume was brought to Japan during the period of Japanese envoys to Sui Dynasty China.

Unfortunately, it does not appear in Greek and Roman mythology, so it may not be a birth flower determined by God.

May’s Birthday Flower ‘Carnation’

September’s Birthday Flower ‘Dahlia’

Daria is native to the American continent, and it was introduced to Europe around the 18 century, so it is a birth flower that has nothing to do with Greek and Roman mythology.

The name Dahlia comes from Swedish botanist Anders Dahl.
